Update: Fall of the Diamond, 100% Club

Regular readers and subscribers will remember the love story that I published last year. If you haven’t read the whole story, now’s a great opportunity to read it. Don’t worry, I can wait.

Last month, the investment that we made in the stock market over a Diamond, reached the 100% club. Our original investment of $14,500 is now worth over $36,000. We aren’t selling.

If we had chosen to purchase a Diamond, our original investment of $14,500 would have immediately depreciated by 50%. Worse, a Diamond is completely illiquid! Instead, our investment is twice the size. A true investment in our future! My fiancée and I couldn’t be happier. And, while the stock market isn’t the right investment vehicle for everyone, certainly an appreciable asset means more for the future of two people in love.
